Go Shine Your Sink!

The hardest thing for me to do at night, when I am completely exhausted from my day, is clean the kitchen.  9 times out of 10 I put it off until the next day.  BUT when I do "Shine my Sink"  I can breath easier and wake up to a good clean start.  I started following this site and absolutely love it.  It is an awesome guide for cleaning your home and organizing your life.  The first step:  Shine Your Sink!

It took me 5 minutes to clean my sink tonight.  So glad I made myself do it!

It's Fall Y'all! Time to decorate!

My Sanctuary...The Creative Room!

I love my creative room!  Thanks to my amazing husband transforming our storage building into a space that I can call my own.  Granted, my hobbies were taking over the home and he probably just wanted his kitchen table back, I still got my space and I couldn't be happier!

The "AFTER" of my ever changing craft room.

Binder Organization!

I love using binders to organize paperwork, especially school stuff.  All that paperwork kids bring in from school can be a little overwhelming.  To help with this, I keep a binder for each kid at my desk.  I go through their bags everyday and add to the folder or purge what we don't want to keep.  I start a new folder each year for each kid.  It's a fun way to display your child's accomplishments for the year!
Add school pictures of your child, programs, class picture, and more to decorate the front.

Fill the binder with sheet protectors and fill them as the year goes by with memorable work and art.  Also include school photos and sports photos.

Just another Friday night in my Craft Room...I'm in Heaven!

It's been a while since I could go and spend a couple of hours in my craft room and be productive, but this Friday night I made it happen.  With football season here I had to fix my little girl up with her favorite team's colors!  A quick trip to Hobby Lobby, some craft paint, a hot glue gun and I was set for the afternoon!
*Just a tip:  Have a clear idea of what you want to do before entering Hobby Lobby or you will have a buggy full of projects and no time to do it all.

Do I Really Have to Finish What I Start?

My biggest problem in the world is getting pumped up about an awesome idea, having the full visualization of it, starting it, and then getting bored with it.  Before I finish it, I'm ready to move on to the next project.  I blame it on PROCRASTINATION!  How do you overcome procrastination...I'll tackle that subject another day!  Ha!
I created this blog to help myself overcome this problem of mine.  My mind is constantly racing with ideas to do this, build that, paint this, sew that, and so on and so on.  To prevent myself from acting on impulse I decided to dump all these crazy ideas into this blog and see where it goes from there.
In the past, I have put many of my ideas into play, some worked and some failed.  I have never regretted any "idea" I've ever had.  Call it my bucket list if you will, marking off one venture at the time.
My latest creation "Model Me" magazine is one I started out having such a strong vision for and still do.  The problem is making myself take the effort to finish before I want to start on something else.  So, Do I really have to finish what I start?  The answer is ABSOLUTELY!
My motivation: "You get the credit for what you finish, not what you start!"
